Yesterday, I slept in a bit, watched some College Gameday and made myself some breakfast, and then took a shower and watched some college football. Around 2:00 or so, Emily and I headed over to Buffalo Wild Wings where we watched the Crimson Tide wrap up a win over Ole Miss, and then we sat there for three more hours eating appetizers, drinking beer, and rooting for our beloved ‘Hoos. Thankfully, they pulled it out–17-16 over UConn.
We came home, relaxed a bit, and then sat outside on a beautiful fall evening and carved pumpkins (see our handiwork below). Once we got the dirty work done, we came in to touch up the details while watching the Red Sox game. I went to bed in the top of the 11th when the Eric Gagne came in to blow the game wide open for the Indians, but not even that could dampen my mood.
It doesn’t get much better than that.

Sick children with no health insurance, apparently good…
George W. Bush once claimed to be a “compassionate conservative.” I think maybe he didn’t actually know what “compassionate” meant. We all know how he is with big words.
